High Tech Galvanics » Gold Plating
Gold plating is an electrolytic surface treatment for the coating of practically any metal. During the electroplating of gold, the gold metal is deposited on the surface of conductive parts from an electrolyte, containing gold salts and with the support of an electric current flow.
The electrolyte’s chemical composition and the process parameters determine the layer properties. AHC uses both rack and barrel systems for gold plating. Both gold plating methods are suited for the treatment of single parts as well as series production with a high degree of reproducibility. We can provide our customers with traditional gold plating as well as gold/cobalt alloy plating for increased hardness.
