New line up and running

Our facility in Eindhoven since today officially has a new line for gold plating of parts and components as well as an titanium pretreatment for all chemical and galvanic processes  up and running. With this pretreatment it is possible to treat Titanium components, for example with electroless nickel. Your commercial contacts are happy to advise you  further.

Dampingsystems

The anodic treatment GLISSCOAT^® 2083 of AHC Benelux is an excellent surface protection for shock absorbers, front forks and steering dampers.

Compared with normal anodizing GLISSCOAT^® 2083 offers a significantly lower roughness. The difference with an hard anodized layer is even larger. With a  post treatment of Fluoropolymers the slide characteristics can be further improved.

The corrosion protection is similar to normal anodizing but can ben increased by a sealing with hot water.

GLISSCOAT^® 2083  is particular  suitable for damping systems for OFF-ROAD, ON ROAD and Mountain Bikes.

Selective silver plating

AHC Benelux has developed a new prcoess which allows a selectively silver plating of internal parts of mechanical components made out of stainless steel.

We tested silver plating in the first place, but in principal we are able to do the same with gold and tin plating.

For gold and silver plating we are limited to stainless steel, tin plating is also possible on copper and steel.

SELGA-CHROM®

SELGA-CHROM ® is an innovative surface treatment that takes place in a closed system with practically no emissions to water, soil or air. The application of the layer occurs without tanks or baths.
Also, the operators are not in contact with hexavalent chromium and so SELGA-CHROM ® is not only GREEN but also extremely human friendly.
SELGA-CHROM ® can be applied on carbon or hardened steel with tolerances of, for example ± 2µm.
With SELGA-CHROM ® a hardness of 950-1200 HV can be realized.
The corrosion protection shows with 240 hour salt spray test (DIN 50021) good results. And this at a thickness of only 22 ± 2 microns. For more information please contact our Sales Manager, mr. Thorsten Karla.

Brush-Plating at AHC

AHC Benelux expanded its range with brush-plating

AHC Benelux, with facilities in Eindhoven and Venlo, The Netherlands, expand its range of functional surface treatments with the so-called brush plating.
Brush plating is not unknown and is used primarily in the repair of parts which are more or less difficult to reach.
AHC Benelux goes further and offers this service for serial production of components. The base material is irrelevant because AHC is able to treat all metal alloys. This treatment can be done in of our facilities but also directly at the customers site.
The advantages of brush-plating are various:
• Each metal layer is to apply
• Unlike to electroplating it is not affected by the “dogbone”-effect
• High accuracy layer thickness with tolerances of ± 2 µm are possible
• Depending on the layer a thickness of a few microns to several mm can be applied
• Very good adhesion of 200-400 N/mm2
• Small to very large parts can be accurately treated
• Cost savings in logistics by on site plating
• Very fast processes (depending on the layer several microns / minute)
Our 3 graduated operators work in accordance with the MIL-STD-875C standard.
